Good morning!
It's a beautiful sunny day and temperatures will get up to the mid 50s. Yesterday was an absolutely beautiful day and I expect today will be the same.
Today's a little bit of a sad day. One year ago today, my nephew Duncan lost his battle with brain cancer. He passed away just 3 weeks before his 2nd birthday. I've been thinking of him a lot the last few days and will write his parents an email today. Need to compose my thoughts.
Well, Steven's travel adventure continues. The flight he was supposed to take was cancelled due to mechanical problems but they were able to get another flight out of Rochester to Philadelphia. When they got to Philadelphia and went to arrange another flight, the only one with 2 seats (he's traveling with his boss) wasn't until 6:10 tonight. All the flights were full. They were even willing to take flights that had layovers in other cities, just so they wouldn't have to sit in the airport. No luck. So he's spending the day in the airport. He'll be getting home about 9:30 our time (Mountain), and this after waking up at around 1 am Eastern time. And tonight is the time change for Daylight Savings Time. Poor guy will be exhausted.
So today I will just do the usual Saturday chores. House pick up, cleaning the bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming, sweeping and moping. The kids help so if everyone works together and doesn't argue, we'll be done in 2 hours or less. I've got bread and granola to make. We have some friends who are moving to a new house about 2 miles from us so we'll go help if they need it. And Sunday prep--making sure clothes are ready, van has gas, etc.
Christie is the weekend cook and she has lasagna, green salad and garlic bread on the menu.
Have a great day!

p.s. Oh, and I have no plans to read or see 50 shades either. From all that I have heard, it's pornography and I don't believe in that. Heard it's not that great either. But no judgement to those who read/see it.
