June Menus

Menu for June 2nd-8th-

 

Monday-

Mexican Red Chili Taco's (Using a roast beef), and fixings with corn.

 

Tuesday-

Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo ( Using 2 large cans of chicken), Sliced Cranberry sauce and Green Beans.

 

Wednesday-

Cracked Pepper Petite Tender Beef filet, Mashed Potatoes With Gravy ( Using some KFC gravy I put in the freezer), Brussel Sprouts and French bread.

 

Thursday-

Spaghetti with Hamburger and Sausage sauce, Bread and Butter, Green Beans.

 

Friday-

Hamburger Gravy over Mashed Potatoes, Canned Fruit and Corn.

 

Saturday-

Hot Dogs, Basil & Olive Oil Pasta Salad, Chips.

 

Sunday-

Will pick that day.

Here is my partial end of May, beginning of June menu.  It is in no particular order and mostly just a listing of some of the meals I can make with what we have on hand plus a bit of produce.

Homemade pizza, salad
Oven fried flounder, fried potatoes, cole slaw, oven roasted asparagus
Chicken Alfredo over pasta, salad or other veggie
Hamburgers, oven roasted potatoes, veggies
Hot dogs, ????
Baked beans, cole slaw, corn bread
Italian sausage, mashed potatoes, veggies
Eggs, potatoes, fruit
Waffles or pancakes, pork roll, fruit
London broil, baked potatoes, veggie
Leftover London broil, salad, bread
Sandwiches, chips, veggies and dip or fruit
Chicken, potato, veggie
Lentil and rice tacos, guacamole and chips

June 1 - BBQ chicken (oil, and garlic on chicken), baked potatoes and salad
June 2 - spaghetti with meat sauce, baguette and salad

And that's as far as I've gotten

😂😂 I did check out 3 cookbooks today so perhaps I will locate some inspiration

For the first time in almost two years I did a full month's menu.  We're challenging ourselves to spend $0 on groceries for the month of June after an expensive May.  It will be a little more than zero after we purchase some produce to replace the lettuce that was mysteriously nibbled from our garden, but realistically we're shooting for $20 or less.  For that reason I've only listed the mains here, but we will usually have a salad and at least one more veggie on the side.  Here it is!

With Rick working nights I don't know if we are going to keep going grocery shopping on Thursday's or switch it to Monday's. This week we will still do it tomorrow.

 

June 23rd-29th. Wow can you believe it is already the end of June?

 

Monday-

Philly sandwiches ( Burger, onions, green peppers & melt cheese over top of them), French fries.

 

Tuesday-

BBQ Chicken pizza's. Sliced veggies with hummus or Ranch.

 

Wednesday-

Burgers & Tator tots

 

Thursday-

Kogel hot dogs ( MIL gave us), Chips and canned fruit

 

Friday-

Taco's with the fixings with Corn on the side.

 

Saturday-

Doctored up frozen pizza's and will make them on the grill.

 

Sunday-

Will pick that day.
