What is the best way to store fresh cilantro?

Thanks.

Wash the bunch when you get it from the store. Pat dry with paper towels. Divide into two smaller bunches. Wrap each in a few sheets of paper towels. Place each bundle in its own baggie, but do not seal. Place in your veg/crisper drawer.

Thank you, Erica.  I will do that with the cilantro I bought today.

Or put it in a small jar of water (like it's in a vase) with a loose plastic bag over the top and in the fridge.  I read this somewhere and do my parsley, cilantro, and green onions this way.

I read about that and wondered how it would work.

Thank you.

Or you could do what I do and store it in one of the ways suggested, push it to the back of the fridge, find a green, slimy, mushy mess in a week or so, wonder what the heck it used to be and throw it out!😜

lol @ denise!

I put mine in a jar of water like a vase in the fridge as Cathy suggested, but both methods work well (not denise's)  ;D  The "vase" method works well for asparagus and romaine too.

Thank you, Shelly.  I will try that also.  Denise,  I had to laugh as I read your comment.  I don't know how many times I have done that and have been disappointed that it went bad.

Haha, Denise!
I use the vase method as well. We buy ours a lot from a produce stand that stores it the same way.
