Here we are another Friday and again, I'm glad it's Friday. It has been a long week.
My daughter just invited me to go to an event tonight, TASTE OF GRAND RAPIDS, taste testing food and such. She thought it was a free event but the entrance to the zoo and parking is free but not the food. With a family of five, we're not able to afford something like this so we can't go. She will still go with a friend but will bring her own water bottle and eat dinner at home before she goes. She's between jobs right now so sadly she can only smell tonight and not participate.
We're in our hot spell but we had a brief break yesterday with an unexpected storm and a 20 degree drop in temp. for part of the day. We needed the rain and could use some more but it doesn't look promising.
