I know it is late in the day but our project was shoes and boots cleanup in the garage. We have a small garage and through the winter that is the place to take boots/shoes off before entering the house. They are often wet so they are left out in the garage and finally there is a pile of shoes/boots.
Well, this morning, my daughter tripped over a pair of shoes and fell and hit her ear on a sharp corner of a shelf. She is an adult, nearly 22 years old, and it wasn't that she was tired or in a hurry because she was neither of these. She was just on her normal schedule to get to her student teaching assignment. She lost an earring and has a bump behind her ear but this was a wake-up call for us.
Hubby organized all the dry shoes and put them in the closet and this summer we have to build a shelf or something that shoes can be put in so that they all aren't on the floor. Maybe some type of cubby hole system or bookcase type shelving. They have to be a grab-and-go type system so that we can reach a pair and put them on without have too much searching. Dad found the earring while he was cleaning.
