I have been looking over this week's grocery ads and noticed several stores have dried beans on sale.
I plan on buying black beans, pintos, and white beans to add to my pantry.
I use them mainly for soups, chili, and refried beans. What are some of your favorite ways to use these?

I don't use a ton of beans but I do like to prepare a whole bunch at one time in the crockpot. I'll them freeze them in 1 cup containers so I can use them in soups, casseroles or whatever. I like freezing them in small containers because mostly that is about enough for my smaller family but then I can always grab a second container.
I like the white beans the best as most of my recipes call for those. I think I should do a bag of black ones sometime just to have them ready for a few recipes that call for those.
I haven't seen a lot of sales on dried beans here but I'll look again.

I mostly use them the ways you mentioned Cheryl. And, I have done the crockpot pre cook/freezing method that Alice mentioned as well.
I use a ton of black beans. We do burrito/rice bowls like you get at Chipotle, Q'doba and the like a lot. You can also use black beans to make refried beans, even though I mostly use pintos for that.
If I think of other ideas, I will send them along. Maybe do a google search or pinterest search for recipes using beans.
Hope you can make use of a good deal!
