I'm hoping someone has a good recipe for chili.  I have several cans of chili (no beans) in my pantry that I use in a 7 can soup recipe. I really love the taste of store bought chili so does anyone have a good recipe that mimics the store bought (no beans) kind of chili? I'm not sure what but I think tomatoes often stand out too much for me in a homemade chili. The store cans have ground beef in it and for some reason it doesn't give me heartburn.

Today I mixed a leftover can with some macaroni and it was much like goulash. So, so good!

I'm definitely a more beans the better in my chili, but I did find these recipes on Pinterest:

Maybe this will give you something to start working with.
Good luck!

I found this recipe.  If you try it, please let me know if it tastes like store bought.

I am going to try some of these recipes but it will have to be a small patch (one recipe had SIX cans of beans) but I think the flavor it cumin. I'll try it when the kids come from for Christmas since they will eat just about anything.

I tried the recipe I linked earlier and I was surprised.  It really did have a store bought taste to it.  I cut the recipe in half, but used slightly less than one pound of hamburger.  I had 2 cans of black beans and one can of cannelini beans, so that's what I used.  I used eight ounces of tomato sauce and added just enough water to rinse out the tomato sauce can.
