Hi Ladies,

I am a little scattered today.  Nothing major going on in my world for today.

I have started laundry.  Was going to do that over the weekend, but realized that hubs would be coming home from the weekend with dirty clothes, so I decided to put it off until today.  Dishwasher is running, so that is underway.  I jumped in the shower, so I still need to dry my hair.

So laundry is the main item on my to-do.  Will work on some research in between loads.

It is a cold one here.  Real feel is minus 1.  The sun is shining, so at least we have that.  Glad I don't have to go anywhere today.

Making a sausage, potato, pepper sheet pan dinner tonight.  Pretty quick and easy, and I have some colored peppers to use up.

Hope all of you are doing well.  As you can see, my day is less than exciting, so feel confident in sharing what you have going on!

Pam

Hi everyone,

We had a pretty laid back weekend. It didn't help that the weather got progressively worse Sat. and into Sunday. I got our very necessary groceries Friday night. $50 bucks and I felt like we needed everything and I got what I needed. I was extremely tired  Friday night and got a fairly decent rest so on Sat. I could get some laundry done, some cooking and just plain puttering. The only thing I had to run out to get was aluminum foil that I ran out of. Sunday was supposed to be quiet but youngest college daughter called and told us she woke up with a really bad sore throat and if we could stop by with some soup, ginger ale, and a few other things to ease the pain. Since it wasn't a problem we did that and I looked at her throat. I suggested that on Monday morning she go to the college's health services and she did that this morning. Thankfully, it doesn't appear to be strep throat. I gave her a few home remedies to try and with a few things the health services suggested, we'll see if this subsides on it's own.

We had a wonderful Sunday at church. The pastor's sermons were exactly fitting to what we are going through as a family with my SIL and her decline in health.

Our son drove through the snow going back and forth to work and did a good job. He did have one scary moment where there was an accident ahead of him and he tried to stop but kept slipping and sliding. He did come to a stop but he said it was very close.  Well, I told him going slower than normal was still too fast! He agreed. So next time, he will go even slower yet.

We are having a tater tot casserole tonight but hubby has to make it since I will be home late. He always forgets to season food, so it always is much too bland for my taste.

Not much else for me. I'm trying to keep healthy as that flu thing is doing a number all over the place.
