Good Morning, rise and shine!

Yes, I finally get a day at home! :)

Intended to get a lot done at home yesterday but life doesn't go as planned. Got a haircut in the morning, then ran to Tractor Supply for animal feed (had 10% off coupon expiring Sunday), picked up a few items at W-mart, and stopped by Target for one items. Came home and intended to vacuum and prep dinner, but a homeschooling friend called and her kids were at play practice at our church a few blocks away (homeschool play this weekend) and she wanted to come by. So we sat out back and drank coffee and chatted. When she left, I went straight to my volunteer job at the library and got the shelving caught up (since I'll miss next week), then grabbed a burger (never got lunch) and ate it in the car waiting for Maddy at the high school. She's running for Key Club president next year and the college level president came to speak to the club yesterday and offer help to those running. Maddy has been very involved this year and is the secretary. However, a very popular girl who is a member but has only been to two meetings this year is running against her unexpectedly. So Maddy stayed a bit to talk to this guy for ideas. The adult sponsor wants Maddy in the position since she's actually been there and involved, but popularity may win it--we will have to wait and see.

Anyway, after Maddy was running late I had to go straight to get the other kids because Earl was emceeing a graduation ceremony on post yesterday (he usually picks up the elementary kids). Mallory plays with the Honors Orchestra for our city so her end-of-year concert was at 7. Anyway, I was worn out.

Today--all kids have been taken to school, I have a load of whites in the washer (ready to switch), and have ingredients coming to room temperature for "The Best White Cake Recipe" (made one last week and it was a hit). Getting ready to wash towels, get the cake in the oven, then vacuum. Hopefully will get the kitchen mopped and some of the high traffic areas as well. Need to replant my chocolate mint plant that the dog has dug up twice and maybe put some bricks around it. Dinner is Mushroom Chicken (Panda Express copycat) served with rice. And we're going to the homeschool play at 7.

Have a great weekend!

Hey girls.

Catherine, doesn't that really stink how in school it has always been and always will be about popularity instead of capability?  Hope Maddy wins.  I would throw her a victory party either way. ;)

It is so beautiful here.  70's and sunny.  Getting ready to go out with the kids later this afternoon and work on the horse fence we started yesterday.  Going to try out a horse in an arena about 2 hours from here this weekend to see if he is what we are looking for.  Won't know for sure until I get on him. ;)

Not much going on here.  We are boring. ;)

Hi Ladies!

Better late than never, eh?  ;)

My days have been a little erratic as of late, so I haven't been around much.  I feel like since I don't have a paying JOB, that I am at the whim or will of everyone else's needs or ideas.  Most of the time it is fine, and I'm more than happy to do whatever everybody else needs, but sometimes it just gets to be too much.

Yesterday I had plans, and those went out the window because hubs needed me to go to another town for a couple things.  Not that big of a deal, but it just messes up your mind for what you had a plan for.

Today I got myself together and had to run a few errands.  We are celebrating our middle son's birthday tomorrow, so I needed to pick up a couple of gifts for him.  I didn't make a list, so I forgot a couple things I needed to pick up while I was out.  Frustrating!  I'm just scattered with making a plan.
Had to run down to our arena to pick up some concert tickets for part of son's gift.  I didn't realize that one of the local colleges was having graduation there later today.  Not a big deal, but kind of tricky getting in and out of that area when I was there.  I would prefer to buy the tickets on-line, but I can't pay all the service fees when I know that I could just drive 10 minutes and save all that money.  It is crazy what they charge to buy on-line!

I wanted to run to Kohl's or TJ Maxx or something to see if I could find something to wear out tomorrow night, but I ended up just not feeling like going to look by the time I had run my other errands.  So, now my options are to go in the morning, or find something I already have.  I am thinking option number 2!!  I really need a few new tops for the Spring/Summer season at least.  I just don't really enjoy shopping that much anymore.  I also need a dress that I can wear to commencement and to my friend's daughter's wedding.  Maybe I will run to the outlet mall next week and see what I can find.

Tonight is a chill out kind of night, tomorrow night is out with son & his fiancee for dinner and a concert, and Sunday we are going to dinner to celebrate a couple of friends' birthdays.  Semi busy weekend, but not too bad over all.

Hope you all have a wonderful rest of your day, and a great weekend!
