This first one is good but tangy.  I made it with organic spinach as I did not have kale, and use the chia seed option.  Because I'm using the vitamix, I did not juice the lemon, just washed it and cut it in fourths and tossed it in with the rest.

This second is a protein shake made without protein powder, using cottage cheese.  It fits THM guidelines for anyone wanting that, is sugar-free or nearly (depending on your chocolate) and is really filling and delicious.  It doesn't taste healthy, lol.  In addition, I make the following tweaks to up the nutrition:  adding a huge handful of organic spinach-you don't taste it and it makes the shake a pretty minty green color, and I add the Great Lakes green can beef gelatin that dissolves in cold liquids, about a tablespoon.  The glucomann is really optional as I often don't add it. http://www.gwens-nest.com/family-favorite-recipes/thm-peppermint-chocolate-chip-milkshake-recipe/

Ooh, a new favorite today.  This is right up there with the Thin Mint shake I posted earlier.  Earl and I shared one for dessert last night, and I'm having another for my mid-morning snack (need it on the mornings I do weights).  Good stuff!  And if you like it, Gwen's blog also has a recipe to do a large batch of the Samoa topping so you don't need to make it up each time you want a shake.  My kids keep begging to eat the toasted coconut/caramel crunch topping alone, so that should tell you something about how good it is.  :)

Mmm...so good.  Still amazes me that I can have these yummy AND healthy treats while losing weight.  :)  And I mixed one of these up and sent it in a big insulated cup with Earl to drink for his snack, too.

One of my favorites for juicing:

2 apples
6-8 carrots (large)
chunk of peeled ginger - usually about 1/2"

Soooooooo good, if you like ginger
