: A rant and a praise.
: MoWin May 21, 2014, 11:26:35 AM
The rant first because it is kind of petty, so I'll get it out of the way.  :( The company that makes Roundup will never ever see a dime of my money. I would rather have weeds than that nasty poison any day. If I can not cut them down, then the weeds can grow.  I have a big resentment in me with that chemical.  :-[

Now the praise, and this is important and big.... I was on my way to fill the car with gas, when I noticed the big machine with the long boons on it across the road from us. Oh no, not again. We had light breezes from the south. That means it would drift right over on to us. I immediately started praying to God to protect our garden. Oh my goodness, when I got home, Kevin said the garden is fine. He talked to the sprayer and told him about our organic garden across the road, asked him to be careful. Yep, he was spraying Roundup.  >:(  The wonderful thing is, the wind changed to the northeast just as he got over near our garden. Wow! I am so thankful. God protected our garden by changing the direction of the wind. How wonderful is that! Very praiseworthy to me!  ;D I just had to share with you all. I was almost in tears when I realized the wind had changed direction just in time. GOD IS SO GOOD!!!!

Blessings,
Winona

That is wonderful, Winona.  I've enjoyed seeing the pictures of your garden this year and I know you worked hard to raise the seedlings and get them transplanted and protected.  It would have been so sad if you lost your garden AGAIN.

Keep sharing the pictures!  I may have to live vicariously through you!  :)

And I want to see pictures of your chicks and chick house, ducks, etc.

Try searching for recipes for natural roundup type spray, my mil was told mix Epson salt, vinegar and dawn dish soap and it works just as good I just don't know the right amounts to mix right now. So happy it didn't make it to your garden this year, God is Good!
