Winona- So excited to see you back!  Still praying for you and Kevin

Well with Megan and rest of kids home I will ride with a friend and we will go to Levis basketball tourney. They will really only play 2 games. They will be tough teams for sure. But more experience.  I need to remember my bleacher seats. After that I will come home and probably go around cows before I go to town with the a group of ladies. The group we go camping with. They are wanting to go to 50 shades of grey. I really am not into that. I tried to read the book because of the hype but not my thing. I burned the book. Probably a minority here just how I am. Well I need to print some checks and take a shower

Have a great day

We are having spring like weather!! I LOVE IT!!

Good morning. You have me laughing early this morning Janice thinking about you burning the book lol. I did not read it nor will I be watching the movie just not my thing. Going to have coffee and work on the house and we I'll run to the store at some point today. Dinner will be biscuts with gravy and eggs. Have a great day everyone.

Good for you, Janice!   :o   ;D  Not my thing, either.

Just having some eggs, bacon, and potatoes, before I head out to hike this morning. Such gorgeous weather this weekend!  It's Earl's b-day so I feel a little guilty hiking, but he told me to go on.

We have those three cases of organic strawberries coming with BB, so will be making freezer jam this afternoon.  Morgan is making a simple scratch white cake later for Earl, and will top with whipped cream and cut up berries.  We worked in our front flower beds for an hour or so yesterday evening, weeding them, trimming the butterfly bush, and fertilizing with some local worm castings.  The iris plants look so lush and healthy.

Hope you all have a wonderful day and weekend!
Catherine

Good Morning its a beautiful day... got clothes drying on the line and so ready to go for a walk.... but have a million other things to do first. Most of my  clocks are changed and we are on the new time change already... i don't like it,but its easier for me to go ahead and start early.
Looking forward to the warm weather that is here.. tonight i will cook out some burgers...

Janice- i read the first two pages of the book, and gave it back to my friend... good for you for burning it..lol....not my thing either..

Catherine-they finally have BB just over in Hutchinson, about 30 mins from me... i am still confused because they talk about having a meat truck come in, and also the baskets ... still have to figure it all out... Have a wonderful day.

Good morning!

It's a beautiful sunny day and temperatures will get up to the mid 50s.  Yesterday was an absolutely beautiful day and I expect today will be the same.

Today's a little bit of a sad day.  One year ago today, my nephew Duncan lost his battle with brain cancer.  He passed away just 3 weeks before his 2nd birthday.  I've been thinking of him a lot the last few days and will write his parents an email today.  Need to compose my thoughts.

Well, Steven's travel adventure continues.  The flight he was supposed to take was cancelled due to mechanical problems but they were able to get another flight out of Rochester to Philadelphia.  When they got to Philadelphia and went to arrange another flight, the only one with 2 seats (he's traveling with his boss) wasn't until 6:10 tonight. All the flights were full.  They were even willing to take flights that had layovers in other cities, just so they wouldn't have to sit in the airport.  No luck.   So he's spending the day in the airport.  He'll be getting home about 9:30 our time (Mountain), and this after waking up at around 1 am Eastern time.  And tonight is the time change for Daylight Savings Time.  Poor guy will be exhausted.

So today I will just do the usual Saturday chores.   House pick up, cleaning the bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming, sweeping and moping.  The kids help so if everyone works together and doesn't argue, we'll be done in 2 hours or less.  I've got bread and granola to make.  We have some friends who are moving to a new house about 2 miles from us so we'll go help if they  need it.  And Sunday prep--making sure clothes are ready, van has gas, etc.

Christie is the weekend cook and she has lasagna, green salad and garlic bread on the menu.

Have a great day!

Merilee

p.s. Oh, and I have no plans to read or see 50 shades either.  From all that I have heard, it's pornography and I don't believe in that.  Heard it's not that great either.  But no judgement to those who read/see it.

Good morning,
It is going to be gorgeous here today. Already 55* and the sun is shining. Buddy and I went for a walk yesterday and will do the same today. It is really quiet here right now. Not much on tv on Saturday, so we don't even turn it on. Kevin had a very restless night, so he is taking a nap. I know he was up numerous times during the night. Buddy, Callie, and Aeris are all napping too, so I am the only one awake around here. LOL
Not much else planned for the day. I will do some knitting and just piddle around. You all have a great day.
Blessings,

Good morning!

It's a beautiful day here and I plan to enjoy it!  I've got my clotheslines full of laundry and it was nice to hang it out without feeling like my fingers were going to freeze and fall off! :D

I've got beef, onions, and peppers marinating for fajitas tonight.  I plan on working on my menu in a little bit.  I was going to do that yesterday but got caught up doing something else.

Guess I better go enjoy the sunshine while it lasts.  Have a good day!

I too, did not read the book. My sister loaned it to me, I didn't even make it to the 2nd chapter.  Not my kind of reading anyway.

The sun is finally out! Still some icy patches in the yard where the sun doesn't hit.

Everyone have a nice weekend!
