Agribon or similar?
« on: September 17, 2013, 07:50:36 AM »
Anyone have experience with Agribon fabric row covers or another equivalent brand?  I've been able to fall/winter garden before using old bed skirts and such but am needing new cover material and wondering if it would be worthwhile to simply buy one of these and cut it in lengths to fit my raised beds?  Trying to grow as much as possible to keep our food budget very low but also have been reading about how even organic lettuces are mostly contaminated in the winter because they are watered from the Colorado (I think) river if grown in Arizona.

And if you've bought this type of thing, did you order it online, and if so, where?  I see it on Amazon but don't know if someone else might have better pricing.

Thanks,
Catherine

I haven't looked on Amazon to see if it's cheaper but Johnny's Seeds is running a sale on this through October 15.

Hope this helps. :)
