Kale trees?

Rooney:
Took these pictures after pulling up a kale bed that was about finished.  It had started turning into trees. These are about 6 feet tall!  Is kale supposed to do that?

Okay, I haven't had any get quite that tall, but yes, they do grow up as they bolt.  Lettuce and chard do, too.  Oh, and radishes?  They get like 3-4 feet tall...who knew?  We let some go to seed to save the seed and I was surprised.

Wow that is unbelievable. We have such a short growing season. I would love the greenhouse
