Honey
« on: January 24, 2016, 01:26:09 PM »
My father-in-law is a beekeeper and has given us several jars of honey.  Tell me some of your favorite ways to use it.  One of my favorites is to eat it over a hot buttered biscuit. :)

Mixed with butter and spread on homemade bread or rolls (sometimes I really miss gluten!).  My mom would do this on blueberry muffins.

In place of corn syrup in homemade caramel for caramel corn.

My kids use a ton in teas, both herbal and Earl Grey.

Mixed with Dijon mustard and a dash of cayenne to cook chicken in...mmm.

Oh, I didn't think about cooking chicken in it.  Thanks for the suggestion!

I use it to make granola, in some salad dressings, with mustard and mayo for a dip for chicken or to spread on a bun for chicken sandwiches.

In my homemade bread recipes in place of the other sweeteners!. A drizzle over hot oatmeal, on toast, on biscuits!

I suppose "by the spoonful" is not what you're looking for.  ;)
