Good morning!

I had such a productive day yesterday.  I got all the laundry done--even washed my sheets and mattress cover.  I got all the clothes put away and the boys' clothes sorted.  Got the boys' bedroom cleaned up and mine nearly done.  Just a few boxes of stuff that belongs elsewhere in the house to put away.  I decided I'd work on one box at a time instead of moving everything downstairs (where most of the stuff belonged anyway) and *then* sorting.  I also got grocery shopping and other errands done.

Today I'm going to finish emptying all my holding containers, finish my bedroom, do the general tidying up that has to be done everyday, pay bills, and sort through papers.  I need to set up a system of some sort to deal with mail so I don't have piles of mail that I then have to go through.  I need to make bread, banana muffins (got some ripe bananas to use up), ricotta cheese, and shop in the freezer.

Have a great day!

Merilee

Wow Merilee! Way to go on such a productive day!  Good luck on keeping the streak going!

Good Morning Ladies!

I have been busy the last couple of days.  Not at home, but have been out and around.

Tuesday hubby and I headed a couple hours away for son's double header.  We left early, and then the game start time was delayed due to field conditions, plus we learned on our way down that he was to pitch game two.

So, there we were with all kinds of time.  We went to a popular burger place to try their fare (which was already part of our plan), and then we went to a nearby casino and wandered around there for a while.  After that, we popped into a craft brewery that is owned by some of hubby's friends.

By the time we got to the field, the first game had just started.  It was all good.  Lost the first game, won the second.  Freezing, freezing (did I mention freezing??) cold.  Luckily, I found a place beyond the outfield fence that I could park my van and sit in there and see fine.  Saved us, but the team must have been frozen by the end of it all!

Yesterday was my usual weight watchers meeting, walk with friend and lunch.  Also had a haircut in the afternoon.  Came home and went through a couple of piles that needed attention.  *I need to find some kind of mail system as well Merilee, so share if you come up with something!

Today, is a laundry, cleaning, and trying to stay in some kind of emotional/mental good place.  Experiencing February in April is not helping one bit!  Praying for an end to Winter as soon as possible, and an extra LONG Summer!!

Hope everyone has an amazing day!  Alice: hope your hubby's recovery is coming along positively.

I'm here for a bit. Thanks Pam for asking about hubby. Yes, he is doing well and I see improvement each day but sometimes he feels like it's a slow process. He is doing his therapy at home and is now walking with a cane for a little bit each day instead of the walker. He works so hard at recovering! He tries to sleep in our own bed at night but wakes up a couple of times (then I wake up to be there if he needs any help) but just trying to get back to the old routine is huge. He eats well and often and he is taking a nap right now after a big morning or therapy and practicing to walk.  I know that we both dislike the Michigan weather (February in April) but it is good for his recovery that he can focus on what he has to focus on. He can't really walk well enough to walk outside but hopefully when the weather changes he will be ready for a walk outside!

He had big plans have a Smashburger and though we've never been there he thinks it will be a great reward. I made him a hearty burger for lunch today with all the fixins--garlic mayo, ketchup, avocado, onion, lettuce, pickles, swiss cheese and he devoured that thing in minutes.

I'm keeping up on the housework but I seem to be doing dishes all day long. He helps put the dishes away for me so each day we add more things for him to try to do.

Good early afternoon ladies,
It is so windy here today, that there is no point in brushing my hair. LOL At least it is 60* so it doesn't feel so cold. I have a meeting on head trauma to attend in a bit. I worked lost of days the past week and had 3 days off. Well, Wed. I had class, Thurs. the head trauma thing, so that means I really only get Friday off then start back on 4 days.  ;) Our class is still going great. After the meeting I am going to mom's and practice taking blood pressure. Diane (teacher) loaned me her stethescope and blood pressure cuff to practice with. There is a name for these 2 things but it is a big long word.  :D
Not much else going on around here. Still no garden planted. Just waiting on the horrible winds we have been having to settle down. Hard to plant when we have winds of 40 mph. Well, I need to get ready for my meeting. You all have a great day.
Blessings,
