Last week of school. Yeah. We got branding all over with on Saturday. Yeah. So off to a good start. I think their next branding to help someone is Saturday.  I have to go help at school at noon for track and field day.  Then after school I will take Ashkey for checking account.  I have some bills to pay around town so will go in early. We need to give some shots to replacement heifers today also.  My chicks are really growing and going through the feed.  I ordered a carburetor for our tiller. I tired before to get one and no one has 1 as it is discontinued. Hopefully order doesn't get cancelled like before.  Ashley did an above and beyond clean out job on my walk in cooler. Her room on the other hand... Lol. I need to call on some appointments today.  I made 3 batches of strawberry rhubarb jam yesterday.  I still have more strawberries and rhubarb so will take care of that today. I will have to freeze some rhubarb.  I had a ton of it.  I need to spray weeds around here. I hope it isn't too windy.  Waiting for kids to get out the door before I get showered.  Then I am off..

Coffee time..

Good morning!

Hard to believe it's the middle of May already!

Had a nice weekend.  Soccer games on Saturday, church yesterday.  Steven and Jordan went on a Scout campout Friday night.

I wanted to work on my scrapbook project Friday night after the boys went to bed but my area of the office is pretty messy so I started to clean it up.  Then I decided to start going through the bins of stuff that need to be sorted.  I have a bunch of dishpans that I use to hold stuff as I sort and they had been just sitting there for longer than I care to think about (years!). So I decided it was time, once and for all, to get those papers sorted and dealt with.  I got one bin of Steven's work papers sorted and organized.  It just needs to be put in the file cabinet.  Now I'm working on tax papers.  Just sorting by year then each year will be put into a manila folder and put in the dead file box.  I collected stuff that will go into my high school/college scrapbook and put that aside for later.  I really made a lot of progress.

Today I need to do laundry.  I'm going to pull out the long sleeve shirts and pants and put them away.  Also need to wash sheets and towels.  The house needs to be picked up and I need to look over the menu and tweak as needed.  Pull the meat out of the big freezer in the garage and put in the kitchen freezer.  My room needs to be tidied.  So does the boys' bedroom.  I have some herbs to plant.  The yard needs to be raked and mowed.  Will I get all this done today?  I don't know but I'll try.

I have the twins today, football and Christie's final concert is tonight.

Dinner will be grilled steaks, grilled potatoes n onions, spinach salad and fruit.

Merilee

Good Morning Ladies!!

I have been on a whirlwind of crazy as of late!  Just busy, busy with everything that everyone needs me to do for them!

Finally got my Dad home from the hospital. (his 5-7 day hospital stay ended up being 20 days with small complications that kept him there.)  That was a lot of stress for all of us.  But he is home now, and seems to be doing pretty good.

This past weekend was nuts! (in a good way).  Garth Brooks & Trisha Yearwood had there World tour here in town.  We ended up going to 3 of the 6 shows.  Because of hubby's job. - he is in the media, so he was "working", but we had a great time!  We had only planned on opening night, but things just fell into place for the other shows.

Yesterday we also went over to Holland, Mi as The Tulip Time Festival had ended Saturday.  The tulips were pretty much on the end of their legs, but it was still a nice afternoon.  Very cold and windy for May though.  We actually had snow in the morning.  :-\

This week is going to be another bunch of crazy!  This afternoon I am meeting hubs in Battle Creek at the casino. Something for his work.  We are spending the night there.

Tomorrow we have to be back pretty early for some appointments & such, and then out to dinner with some friends.

Wednesday son's college baseball team starts in the playoffs (fingers crossed), and hubby will be in Detroit at the Tigers game for work.

Thursday we have a semi-normal maybe we can eat dinner at home kind of day (probably a good day to do laundry for me)

Friday we are going to The Phantom of the Opera (hubby - work).

Saturday we have an event downtown for Hospice of Michigan, and hubby has some other event he needs to be at after that at the local raceway.

Maybe Sunday we can catch our breath!!  It is kind of an unusually busy week.  I am hoping I can keep up!

Hope everyone has been well, and has a great day!  (and week if I don't get back here this week!)
