Ok, so I'm starting this post super early so that lots and lots of you will be able to jump in and post a little note about your day!

My day is easy going.  I am going to color my hair this morning.

I have a chiropractor appointment this afternoon.

I desperately need to dust and vacuum the living/dining room.

Hubs will be home late tonight.  Finally.  Then, off to "up north" for the two of us tomorrow.  He is running in a 5K on Saturday, so we will be headed up tomorrow.  He has done this run for the past few years as part of his radio show.  It will be a fun event.  We will go to a watch party for the MSU game, and then I am hoping to head home.  We have the room at the resort until Sunday, but I am lobbying to get back home Saturday late afternoon.

Not much else happening in my neck of the woods.  How about you???  Would love to hear from a record number of participants today!!

Have a good one!

Good morning, Pam.

I read every day even if I don't post, but not so sure anyone wants to hear about my days.  They are b-o-r-i-n-g! :D

I've been up since 5 because my senior cat had an accident.  I should have known better than to shut her in the bedroom with me earlier this morning.  Now I need to shampoo my rug.  I know she couldn't help it, but rug cleaning wasn't something I wanted to do today.

It's rainy and cool outside.  I need to pick up more pecans before all the leaves fall and cover them.  I need to go to Walmart for a few things.  I've tried putting it off because it seems like I have blown through my grocery budget this month, but it can't be helped.

Emily has a few school assignments to work on when we get back.  I need to do some cleaning and decluttering in my laundry room.  I have totes in there I need to carry back out.  They hold my canning jars and I have walked around them all summer.  I think canning is over, so out they go!

That's about it for me.  Have a good day!

Good to see you Cheryl!  Sorry about the kitty issue.  Hope the rug shampooing didn't take too long!

Cold and rainy here as well.  I guess we are expecting some snow either later tonight, or overnight, or tomorrow, or maybe not at all.....can you tell that I really have only half listened to the forecast, and it seems to either be changing, or the weather dude is so excited for lake effect snow that he is announcing it even though it isn't really for our area.  But I do believe it will be or already is in the area we are headed to tomorrow.   :(

Hair is colored, and vacuuming is done, so now I need to pick up a few things and do some general straightening before heading out to chiro appt.
Will think about if there are any stops I need to make while I'm out.

Take care!
Pam

Hi, I'll add to the big numbers you're expecting today, Pam!

Last night, after work, I went outside to pick up the huge amount of leaves that were suddenly there. First, I got my two meal items started--brown rice in the oven and pinto beans in the pressure cooker. I worked HARD outside for 50 minutes getting a lot of the leaves picked up and cleaned up the yard. I then tended my dinner by taking the rice out of the oven and putting the chicken in for a quick warm-up. The beans were done and downright tasty! Then I plopped into the instant pot ingredients for minestrone soup for today's dinner. I have my volunteer night tonight so no time to cook. Hubby came home at 5:15 and then we cleaned the roof and gutters until 6 pm when it was pitch black out.

The plan was to get this done before the sloppy stuff which is happening right now. Rain, dreary, cold, and maybe some snow overnight. Glad to say this round is over but there are still plenty of leaves hanging yet so there will be another round.

I have this huge problem--I can't stay awake from 8 pm to 9 pm. I really can't go to bed at 8 pm as that will really be difficult to work the next day because I'll be up way too early. I have to introduce something at that hour that will keep me awake but not sure what.

Tomorrow I'm going to help my mom take care of my SIL again for the afternoon. I wish I could think of something for her to do but she is blind and she can't remember anything. The days are long and I wish she could do something with me. Last week I read cookbooks but she just slept in her chair. She can't get up by herself because she can't remember the layout of her house and has no idea what kinds of things there are in her own house. The TV is on all day long just for the noise. It's very difficult.

There's my chapter!
