Hi to all!

Sounds like you ladies were busy this past week!  We were on vacation, and it was so needed!  We left on Tuesday and headed down to our youngest son's college.  We didn't get a lot of time with him really.  He had a lot of baseball team responsibilities, and school of course.  We had dinner with him on Tuesday, lunch with him on Wed. and then breakfast with him before we left on Thursday.  We did get a chance to see his dorm room for half a second or so.  It is tiny, but since he is the grad assistant for the team, it is free along with tuition, plus he gets a small stipend in pay.  His attitude is "you get what you pay for", so he is content with it.  It is for a short time, and he appreciates the opportunity he has.

After breakfast, we headed to Richmond Va to see our son & dil.  We spent Thursday through Monday with them.  We saw and experienced quite a bit of the city.  They have a new dog, so they did need to keep up with taking him out and such, but it was good to have a reason that they didn't have to be entertaining us the entire time.  We stayed in a hotel about 5 miles from their place, so that worked out really well.  We saw their new apartment.  They seem to be liking it there.  Although, they talked like they are considering moving.  DIL is not loving her job at Amazon, and I think they are getting ready to settle down, and Richmond isn't that city for them.  It has been good for the time being, but they are wanting to settle in a little closer to her family in the Carolinas.  So, I am guessing they will be moving again soon.  At least after this move, I think they will most likely be in their final destination.

We arrived home last night around 9pm after about 15 hours on the road.  Didn't run into much traffic, but did come across a couple of downpours that slowed us down a bit.

Today I have been to grab groceries, and have one load of laundry that needs to go from washer to dryer, and then throw another in.  Still have a few things that I bought that I need to deal with.  Cutting up a watermelon, and cleaning some grapes, stuff like that.  Other than that not much for me.

We have a gathering to go to tonight.  Not sure if I will go, but I think hubs is planning on it.  I might head over toward the end of it, but I really need to regroup here.  I am really tired from driving yesterday.  I drove the whole way.  Hubs was doing a little work on his computer, but I really drive most of the time.

Hope all of you are having a good day and unofficial start to fall!  Still hot and humid here, but looks like a break is on the horizon mid week.

Pam
