I've been drooling over yurts for some time.  Not sure they come big enough for my crew but I love the idea and open layout.  There is a lady who blogs about their life in a yurt...will see if I can find it again.

Sam and I have talked about yurts for years.  I can't wait to hear about your adventures.  :D

The one we're planning (in our minds at this point) will have a garage under the platform and decking around the perimeter.  We're planning a loft above the bathroom where the sleeping area will go.  Since our house is nearly paid off, we're planning to use the equity to buy the land and the yurt.  Still not 100% sure, but we're reading reading reading and watching videos about the lifestyle as much as we can.
