Radishes
« on: February 04, 2014, 04:08:10 PM »
Just grew some of the most beautiful and tasty radishes I have ever eaten. :)  They are a beautiful color on the outside and solid white on the inside.  So happy for a first try. :)  Question though, what do you do with the leaves?  Do you just throw them away or what?

Yep, feed them to the chickens and/or goats.

What kind were they?  Without digging my seed out and looking, I think I grow Cherry Belles.

I think they are Cherry Belles.  At least that is what seeds I reordered because they look like the ones we have. Only reason I asked about the leaves is because they looked too pretty to throw out. :)  Can you tell I am a new gardener? :)  We don't have chickens yet and I will probably have 2 more radish crops before we do, so I guess they get thrown out until we get the compost tumbler started. :P
