« on: September 08, 2013, 06:52:24 AM »
Wasnt sure where to post this, so feel free to move :)

What is for dinner at your house this evening? We are having fried chicken liver, mashed potatoes, gravy, mac and cheese and some veggie. My In-laws are coming over for dinner. Excited!

I was gong to make lasagna today, but since there are so many leftovers in the fridge I think we will just have all-you-can-eat leftover buffet night. :)

We're having leftovers too, and frozen pizza rolls. Those are a real treat--we haven't had them in 10 years or more. I don't buy a lot of frozen entrees.

Blessings,

Since we're going to church tonight our big meal of the day will be at lunch.

Before going to church this morning, I did all the prep work for our lunch and I set my oven to turn on while I was at church.

We are having country style steak and gravy, rice and green peas.

I can't wait....my belly is rumbling.  ;)

Most Sundays we have a bigger meal at noon and today we had homemade spaghetti sauce with tomatoes my parents brought yesterday and whole wheat noodles also courtesy of my parents and garlic bread made with some old (but not molded) frozen hot dog buns. No one wants to eat store bought buns around my house so they sat in the freezer since June. Still good but needed to be remade into something. They were a hit! No dessert since spaghetti filled everyone up.  Tonight after church it will be "do your own thing" for supper since we have done that for years.

We had our main meal for lunch also as we go to church in the evening.  We had barbecued chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, fresh cucumbers, and tomatoes.

Hehehe, we're having leftovers too! It's a pot of beans with some meat chopped into it. And a healthy dollop of sour cream for me. ;)

So, I told Trevor my plan to make pudding... well, when he gets involved with dessert, it always turns into something more.  So, we had nilla wafer crust pie with sliced frozen bananas, layered coconut cream filling and whipped cream on top.  The 4 of us ate the whole darn thing in one sitting.  Maisie tried eating it out of the pan.  It was too good.

Oh man Shelly.

That pie sounds delicious.  It's 12:45am here and I can't sleep and that pie sounds like something I really need  :D
