September 10, 2013 Challenge
« on: September 09, 2013, 05:53:56 PM »
My challenge for myself today will be to wipe the seals around the inside of the dishwasher door.  I noticed they are getting a bit grungy.  Feel free to join me or come up with your own.

No dishwasher, but it wouldn't hurt to give the washing machine a wipe down!

Shelly, I just want to say that although I'm not doing the same challenges you are, this thread has made me take a closer look around my own home and find some problem areas I might not have thought of otherwise.  It's inspired me to get some things done that I've been putting off for way too long. ;D

I'm glad you're finding it useful.  I used to follow flylady and while I don't do her daily tasks anymore, it did get me in the habit of finding one to do every day, whatever is bothering me most that day.

I got my dishwasher wiped down and got out all the gunk along the bottom seal.  I also wiped down the fridge seal since I still had some use in the rag.

Oooh...I like this thread.   :D

For some reason I'm just now finding it.

Today I washed out the window sills in the dining room windows.  Ugh.  Talk about nasty.  I hadn't had the windows opened all summer long but we're beginning to have some cool mornings and the opened windows feel nice.  Now they're clean!!

Washing machine wiped down... why does a 2 minute job take 20 minutes in my head? :P

I have the same problem.  *whine whine* but I don't wanna wipe that...it will take forevvvvvver *stomp stomp*  Happens every day in my head.  I actually went so far as to time myself on each chore one day so that I could look back and say, "That only took you FOUR minutes or Twelve or whatever."  It sure makes it harder to grumble.
