Setting Hayley's Quilt Blocks
« on: June 09, 2014, 10:56:53 AM »
I have all the blocks ready and have been playing in EQ7 trying to decide how to set them. I am thinking I will go with #2, furrows. I showed the different ways to Kevin but didn't get much of a response. I don't think he is a fan of log cabin blocks. LOL Anyway, I don't care for settings #3 or #4 because they look uneven or off centered to me and I am a symmetrical type person.  :D Number one just looks kind of boring to me. I have never done a quilt like #2 and it looks interesting to me. So what do you think? These are not the exact colors, but close. I actually used over 20 different fabrics for this quilt.

I favor #3 too. It doesn't really look off because it's off on both sides, whereas the barn raising one is off on one side.

You could make the barn raising VERY off center, and it would look like a design than a flaw.
