September Menus
« on: August 27, 2014, 06:17:16 AM »
anyone get theirs done?

I am working on it but I am in need of 2 crock pot meals a week minimum and my family is such picky eaters I feel frustrated

Any favorites you'd like to share? I am in need of some that are not "bean" related - they won't eat that  ;)

Thanks  :-* :-*

Good luck, Cathie!  ;)

I am still working on mine.  I was feeling bad because I'm in a rut, using the same meal plans over and over.  But you know what?  I've come to the conclusion that my family likes boring!  They're ok with it.   ;D  I was asking them for ideas to be included and kept getting the same answers, the same meals over and over.

I'm putting the finishing touches on it today and will post it this afternoon.

My favorite crock pot meals are roast beef, pork chops with gravy, chicken cooked with salsa (shred for tacos), chili (leave the beans out), and pork roast made into pulled pork for barbecue sandwiches.

What meats and/or veggies do you like?

no monthly menu planned.. weekly works best for me.  I'll check on with our weekly menus though.   :)

Haven't started September yet, either...am also mostly doing weekly right now.

We like a very simple "beef stew" in the crock pot.  Stew beef or cut up roast, big chunks of potato, carrot pieces, and onions cut into wedges, with a bit of salt and pepper.

Tried a new recipe last week we liked that reminded us of stew but with a bit of spice.  Pieces of chicken (I used some tenderloins), big chunks of sweet potato, and carrot pieces, along with a diced onion.  Mix a can of light coconut milk and 1 TBSP curry powder and pour over top, along with a bit of salt and pepper.  We agreed we liked it well enough to have it again, once it cools down outside a bit.  Was a bit warming on a 104 degree day, lol.
